“A person’s a person, no matter how small.” – Dr. Seuss

This quote has stayed with me since childhood. It reminds me that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and supported—no matter their age, background, or story.

Hi, I’m Ummi (short for Ummehani), and I work with individuals, children, and couples navigating the complex emotions that come with change, identity, and disconnection. I bring over 10 years of experience as a behaviour therapist and now as a psychotherapist to the work I do—alongside my own lived experience as an immigrant, parent, and member of the BIPOC community.

My approach is warm, non-judgmental, and client-centered. I meet you where you are, and together we explore what healing looks like on your terms.

Who I Work With:

  • Children and families experiencing behavioural, emotional, or relational challenges

  • Adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or cultural identity

  • Couples working to improve communication, repair connection, or navigate separation

  • BIPOC, immigrant, and faith-based clients

  • People exploring religious identity, values, and self-esteem

Session Format:

  • Virtual across Ontario

  • In-person in Cambridge, Ontario

Languages Offered:

  • English

  • Hindi

Therapeutic Approach:

I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies while centering compassion, culture, and connection. These include:

Our work together focuses on building safety, self-understanding, and sustainable tools for change.

In Our Work Together:
