Do I need to be fluent in my first language to benefit from multilingual therapy?
No. Some clients use another language because it feels more connected to their emotions, family experiences, or identity.
Is multilingual therapy only for newcomers?
No. Many clients who seek therapy in another language were born in Canada or have lived here for many years. Language and culture can remain an important part of how we understand ourselves.
Will my therapist understand my culture?
Every person’s experience is unique. Our therapists approach cultural differences with curiosity, respect, and humility rather than assumptions.
Is therapy in my first language covered by insurance in Ontario?
Check with your provider about coverage for therapy with a licensed mental health professional in Ontario. We have Masters of Social Work (MSW) and Registered Psychotherapists (RP) on staff
